Announcements: Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Definition

Title

Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Definition

Body

Interlibrary Loan is a service provided by a library which
Borrows materials it does not own from another library on
behalf of a patron.  A patron is able to request these items by filling out a form either paper copy or electronically on the
web page or through FirstSearch or by calling any library.
If our library owns an item, it cannot borrow it from another
library, even if there is a waiting list, unless that item is on
trace, missing or lost status.  Requesting an item does not
always guarantee another library will lend.  This is
especially true of genealology items.
